The parts are now off the 3d printer! Phew it takes a while to print this thing, 7 hours. I'll be attempting to tweak that with subsequent runs. It also didn't fit up very nicely at all, so I'll be tweaking that moving forward.

Yep, its printed in two separate pieces that come together. The fit was not good and I had to shave some material off each piece to get it to fit together nicely.

Thanks guys! Its been a fun project thus far.

I may need some help testing out the product since I do not have a Micra handy to throw one on. This would involve working with me a bit, taking pictures, and helping fix any issues with the part. If you would be willing to help, please let me know.

I worked on version 2. It eliminates some excess material, makes it look a little prettier IMO. It should also reduce printing time, reduce material use, and therefore also reduce the cost to make it. I'm hoping it'll also be a bit easier to assemble as well.

I'll have all the supporting components within the next week or so. With the design I have thrown together it *should* be almost interchangeable. I got my first silicone coupler from China the other day. 2 more and the MAF housing en route.

The MAF housing will attach to the other side of the 90 degree reducer. Do you think it will fit with a clamp on that 2.5" ID?

Yes, it should fit quite well. The OEM housing is 62.5mm in diameter which is 2.46". With a clamp, it'll cinch down very nicely.

I just started printing the new version of the MAF housing. This time it'll finish in about 5.5 hours. Not nearly as bad as 7!
