After Market LED Tail Lights Issue

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum but I have a question for whoever knows what's going on... I got these new tail lights that are plug and play but they send my Micra into limp mode, the dealership says the car thinks its an open circuit because of the low voltage, any ideas on how to get around it?Name: P_20170611_120051.jpg

I was going to try something like this too but found it kinda expensive for the light assembly. I decided to try the signal lights on the original assembly/tail lights on the car. I ended up with "hyper-flash" signal lights. Too bad too since the light quality of the LEDs was much better than the filament lights the Micra comes with. I'll dig up the pictures and post them here.

OK. This is what the original Micra tail light looks like.

A picture of everything in the trunk (boot) of the car. You can see the LED set I was going to use.

And here is a picture of the LED installed for testing.

I ended up putting everything back together as it was originally because of "hyper-flash." The car seems to be checking for a certain amount of electrical load on the lighting circuit. LEDs have very low current use compared to the original lights. It seems that a lot of cars today have this light checking "feature." No damage done to the car; everything still works.

I never did get around to seeing if it could be made to work. Hopefully this may be able to help out others.

I am the one who had to pay $3000 for blown electrical components as i put in LED tail lights and tried to solve the "hyper" flash with resistors. The car does not like LED's (in the tail lenses) and puts the car into limp mode.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND PUTTING LED TAIL LIGHTS IN THIS CAR. Learn from my mistake.

Point taken L1ghtninchris. $3000.00; holy crap. My car is still OK so I think I'll quit while I'm still ahead.

Ya 3 different modules went as far as i know. Nissan had to have tech line help them fix my car cause they couldnt get it out of limp mode. It was a disaster and took 21 days to finally fix.

Now as well all know i don't even own the Micra anymore. RIP.

I guess these pictures can still be used by someone wanting to replace a burnt out light with a new one.

what exactly is "limp mode" and how do you know your in it ? or out of it?

i dont think there would be an OBD code for that..or is there?
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!
