Upgraded dome light fixture. The answer to the question you never asked.

It turns out that the Nissan Juke's dome light fits in a Micra. So I switched my dome light fixture. Took one out of a Juke which has 3 light bulbs. No real advantage other then having an even brighter interior once the lights are turned on.
Just as easy as unpluging the old one and plugging the new one.

How close is the junk yard to you? It's great how much browsing around you get to do.

There is 6 of them that have import cars within 30 min of my place, couple more if i wanna drive 15-20 min further.
I go once every two weeks or so. Its good. Checking all the car for what could fit on the micra. I also get to figure how to take stuff apart before trying it on my car.
Once they offer me the right price ill be switching the seats to SR trim. They offered me the 2 front seat and rear seat for 500$ if i give them my current seats. Im waiting to get a better price

There are only 2 near me.

I used to go to the junkyard when I was a kid just to walk around and look at all the old cars.

    Better than some car shows.

What is the hole on the left in the original light? It looks as if I could just plug in a second light bulb even without the swap. Although it's definitely something I will look to do, just not many yards near me.

Just got my Juke dome light, thanks Chef Groleau for this upgrade idea. It is almost too bright, but it's a good addition. It's bright enough that I won't be changing to LED's unless I get some that are no brighter than the current bulbs. Here are some images of the brightness difference in the car, disregard the junk on the floor lol.

I did the dome light upgrade as well...
It's not expensive, literally plug and play and having the map lights is actually really useful.
I added 'natural' coloured LED's (about 3500K-4000K?) and it's great - More or less the same colour temp as stock but definitely much brighter.
I ordered mine on eBay since the price was right... I assume I'd have paid at least as much at a wreckers.
It took a couple of weeks to arrive and I wasn't sure what I was going to get, but it's either a factory piece or a perfect replica.
Super happy with this little mod and highly recommended.
