    Hello world!

Good morning Micra owners and people lurking the forum. I finally pulled the trigger last night and bought a brand new 2017 Micra SV. I put quite a bit of km on my car every year and I needed something small and gas efficient. I will miss my AWD, but I won't miss the gas bill.
IT Guy in the capital, looking forward to the information I can get off this puppy and hopefully be able to contribute as well.

Here is a list of my past cars if anyone cares to know.

Audi A4 2004, Toyota Yaris 2007, Toyota Venza 2009, Jeep TJ 2000, Nissan Altima 2005, Dodge Grand Caravan 1997, Toyota MR2 1991, Ford Explorer 1991, Subaru Impreza 1991, Honda Prelude 1991, Eagle Summit 1992, Chrysler Reliant 1985.
    Not bad over 16 years.............

I regretted automatic on my audi, not doing that again. I commute 24k km per year (just for work) but I still prefer MT. AT is to boring :| but i get why people get it!

Congrats on your purchase! Another SV owner here, but went 2016 for the price incentives. You will love ripping around in this car, I guarantee it.

More than a couple of members here have traded SUV's for Micras. You're not alone.

    Toyota MR2 1991
I drool. Naturally aspirated or boosted? I've never driven a MR2, but it's on my list. The only mid-engine car I've tried was a Fiat X19, and it was an absolute handling riot. Not powerful, but superlight and targa top off: I had a grin plastered on my face the whole time behind the wheel. I imagine the older MR2 is closer to that car, but the 2nd gen is lovelier to look at.

I traded the Audi because it was very un-reliable. Ive had it for 32000km and I believe it sat on the dealer lot too long. I was hemorrhaging cash. Most comfortable car i've ever had hands down. I had to cut her loose.

The MR2 was a RHD japanese import, with a few mods (extr aboost, berk full exhaust and bigger intercooler,) the thing was hella fun to drive My dad actually bought it from me a few years ago and uses it as his summer car.
