Nice pics! I'd love to drive a standard again, but not all the time, especially in stop'n'go traffic.

I love driving stick. This car is so basic, hand crank windows too. Love it. I need to find a portable 8 track player for the full nostalgic experience.

I used to like manual also, miss that! All my prior cars were manual except my Toyota.
My Volkswagon-Fox-Wagon (say that 3 times fast) - ha, it had a stiff clutch, and on the QEW I was in so much pain I had to pull over in stop'n'go traffic.
I may convert the drivers side window to power as it was hard to close (health issue, reason I didn't get standard). I've never had power windows or locks.
I'm sure there are some 8 tracks kicking around out there somewhere!

I have some arthritis in my hands, knees and shoulders but so far it has been pretty manageable. The Micra clutch is pretty "smooshy" so not too bad on the knees for shifting. 1st gear on the 5 speed is pretty ridiculously low geared, have to really wind it out to get out of an intersection at a stop light without having to shift half way through. It's stupid...I love that about the car too (haha).

My window was frozen shut yesterday, and i had to ask myself "what the hell do you want to open the window for anyway it's -37 degrees out? Will attempt window opening tomorrow.

I didn't want to risk getting a manual and then struggle to drive it, or possibly not be able to at some point, also spoiled driving auto. past 16 years.

Sounds like I'm missing out on all the fun 'winding' it out in 1st!

As I gave it a bit more gas than normal today from a stop, it sounded almost as if it slipped for a second; the rev was faster than what it was doing. I also hear a 'tick-tick-tick' sound.
Not dissing our Micra's, but the motor sounds like a sewing machine compared to my Toyota. Miss overdrive in automatic.

Good luck with that window, park it in the sun!
