    Accident in my Micra!!! :(

First major snowfall of the year in the GTA. I was out about driving and had no issues until a GMC Yukon XL couldnt stop from a side street he was on, I was just driving along the main road thought he would have stopped as I was coming but nope he kept slidding right into where i was driving and slammed right into me!!! Not my fault at least, gunna be in a rental tomorrow and just gotta wait for insurance adjuster to come and look at damage to fix it hopefully and not write it off!!!

    That bites! Everybody's OK?

You took the "face" right off that SUV... and that's a big one.

    golly, what a pain!!

    here in BC:
if you had limited depreciation why DONT you want them to write it off ?
    IM NO INSURANCE EXPERT
but Limited depreciation should also extend to the replacement parts. IE NEW NISSAN door, not a bondo'd up one as you will receive..so if they do the math on that, it could more hopefully be a writeoff
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

depreciation is only for first 24 months of ownership i had that but i am beyond 24months now and that was taken off my policy i hope its all OEM replaced.

I dont think it will be written off i have a high outstanding loan and i dont think they will be willing to pay it off.

My Rental Car is a 2016 Nissan Versa Note SV.

Everything seems the same as the micra just the car is bigger. radio controls on steering wheel are different and radio is a little different looking and stuff.

Under the hood is the same engine same layout everything except different headlights.

And the transmission type ... I'm curious to know what you think of the pros/cons of the Versa's CVT vs. your Micra's 4AT with the same engine.
