    The Micra Treatment

Just got the car and brought it to a buddy to get armored for life. From the upper rad the spare tire, fender wells were all taken off, everything already rusting was sanded and coated. The car's body is gonna last a lifetime.

That must have taken a while to do. I like the dark grey color of it.

Love it. Lots of instructive photos.
Does the stuff come out of a barrel labelled "Protective Gunk"?
I might try to do this myself in the back yard.
But saying that now, it makes me want to actually bring it to a pro so they can jack it up and get into all those little corners.

Woo - thanks for all those pics. Is the treatment actually called "armour for life"?

Looks like the stuff they use for truck bedliner.

Is the finish hard or rubberized?

The car was gone for about four hours, a friend of mine who races, builds cars did it for me. Money well spent for sure, everything is done one the car.

And he looked into making a skid plate for it and he said there are no safe places to hook it up to. If something were to happen the plate could cause more damage then good.

Its not the bed liner spray but close to something like it. Not as heavy as that would be. Its more rubbery then heard but stays in place.

    Thanks for the info!

Getting a thorough job is the trick - lucky you knew the person doing the application. It would be easy to cut corners (literally) and not have full protection in hidden areas like the inner fender wells.

It looks like he even did the rear drums. That's attention to detail!
