Nissan should have called it the march. Just as well the dealer here only had the 9,999.99 stripped specials. Not a single SV or higher. Is it any wonder sales are down. Perhaps its bait and switch to a higher model strategy?

Bizarre - new member says there are NO base S Micras in the Maritimes right now, which is what he wants.

Nissan managed to squeeze out another overall record month:
http://nissannews.com/en-CA/nissan/c...canadian-salesNissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 15,815 units, an increase of 25.5 per cent over last year and the best month in the company's history. Nissan Division sales increased 26.7 per cent with 14,523 units sold, setting a new all-time sales record.
For the company's 2016 fiscal year, Nissan Group set an all-time record with 137,773 total Canadian sales, an increase of 3.0 per cent over its 2015 fiscal year.
Micra deliveries bounced back from the dismal numbers of the past 3 or 4 months, but it remains well below last year's numbers. (To be expected when they don't offer any significant changes to the vehicle since launch?)
Versa Note sales were up 63.6 percent, with sales of 1,034.
Micra: 875 delivered.
vs. 221 Mirages and 222 Sparks, fighting over second place scraps.

micrapolis (04-05-2017)
772 Micras sold.
It's the lowest April in 4 years, but not nearly as bad as the first 2 months of this year.
And it looks like Nissan's streak of record monthly sales came to an end, which seems to be how the industry in general is heading currently.
Update: Spark had its 2nd best month of sales since the redesign came out last year. Its sales so far this year are up vs. 2016, unlike Micra & Mirage. That's what you'd expect with a new model.

Sparks are flying.......lol
2015 Micra S (manual)
no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
Feb 2015 build
9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

The spark is only a four seater I do not like them at all.
That's a good point that rarely gets mentioned in the comparison reviews of the Spark. Both Micra & Mirage are significantly bigger inside.
I walked past a new Spark on the street this weekend and did notice it's very small.

So much for the slowdown in auto sales! Overall, May was a Canadian record month.
As for Nissan...
http://nissannews.com/en-CA/nissan/c...canadian-salesThe Nissan Division set a May sales record, with 12,825 units sold and an increase of 5.4 per cent.
Micra rebounded very nicely to contribute to the tally with 922 sales, its first month over 900 since September last year.
Spark had 184 & Mirage had 270
