Good question... maybe ask in Alpha's thread? He did the replacement himself.

Only one that I could find. It is installed with the connector on the top and naturally collects water / salt spray, being located at the front of the engine. It appears to rust out quickly so I am trying a plasti dip coating to see if it last longer or if I inadvertently shorten the life instead. The good news is that Alpha found a cheap supply and it is very easy to replace so this is not a major defect but I think you can plan on yours failing at some point if you drive in a Canadian winter.
I fixed my original easily enough by cleaning up the contacts, and I tested it and it works like new. If anyone needs a replacement, let me know. I'll sell it cheaper than the stealership, with better shipping times than AliExpress.
In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

How do you remove the sensor?
I too have the same code but the car is running fine. I did an oil change and cleaned the connection and added dielectrics grease but it continues to pop up, any suggestions? And is this covered under warranty?
We DO have two...

I thought I would share my recent experience with everyone. I got trouble code P0011 but it’s was intermittent and was not always a problem. After checking most parts I found that my intake side (front of motor) variable valve timing solenoid was stuck in the open position. I ended up ordering it on Rockauto for half the price as Nissan. If you get this error a good check is to do an oil flush and pull your solenoid out and clean it well and see if code comes back (if you have a 12volt supply you can attach accross the prongs on the solenoid and it should engage but only allow power for a second not for more then 5 seconds) I tested mine and it was working then not working. I have now replaced it and no problems since. Do not mistake the exhaust which is on the back of the motor as it will call for a different code. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask as I did a lot of troubleshooting and learned a lot about the system.

This is the one I ordered works great and has a different design which is great hope it won't rust as fast as the old one!

Here it is from the shop manual, you can see both.
I have played around a lot feel free to PM me if you have any questions about this as I just fixed my P0011 as mentioned previously by replacing the intake side.

I assume you just undo the bolt and pull out , like a solenoid in an auto trans ?
