Since I live in a condo, space for storing winter tires with steel rims might be an issue.
Any thoughts on leaving the alloy rims in place for winter driving?
If anyone wants to know, it's for GTA (Toronto) weather.

Does your condo have storage lockers that you can rent?
I've always replaced my alloys with steel wheels. There are several advantages to doing this.
1/ you don't have to keep shelling out money to swap out your summer tires with winter tires and visa versa. You also risk wearing out the bead and getting a blow out or leak between the bead and wheel with constant swapping. You might also save time swapping between alloys and steel wheels if you're the type of person that likes doing things yourself.
2/ Salt over time can corrode the clear coat.
3/ Sometimes steel wheels are heavier than alloys. The extra little bit of weight can come in handy in deeper snow.
always have two sets of wheels. For all reasons above. I am in the process of shopping now.
I always use steel wheels in winter, i dont want to ruin the alloy rims!! plus i live in appt. too i store mine at Canadian Tire where i get them swapped (I work there so i dont pay for storage) $30 around for storing them for season
