    micra review - 2years and 100K kms

base S car, drives well and lots of fun. no problems other than a fuel soliniod at 98K kms (warrentee replacement). we drive lots of northern highway all seasons - no problems in the winter. love love this great little car...will buy another when the wheels finally fall off. (oh and great that it has a timing chain so that saves the cost of doing the timing belts that most small cars have).

I thought we had a serpentine belt, no chain. My Toyota had a chain drive. Good to read your report, thanks.

Thanks. I thought some cars didn't have a chain at all these days.

we just were in to the dealer with a rattle under the car...turns out it is some very thin aluminum heat sheilding for the exhaust...very expensive to replace so we had it patched up...will see how long that lasts.

Thanks for the update, duffy49. Glad you're enjoying the car. 100k kms is the current record around here, I believe.

Wynter, FYI: Micra 1.6L: timing belt or chain? Interference engine? HR16DE
