Can you get a better finish with your gun? I'd imagine so but am not well versed in body work!

From the research I've done, the finish should be smoother. As its a consistent pressure and spray pattern. We will see once I start spraying.

It will look a lot better with sills your stock colour than say a red one would.

They have it now so you can't even tell it's plasti dip. You can get oem finishes now and clear coats

Is there a benefit to plasti dipping, does it protect better than paint, will a scratch or dent look worse from those annoying people who don't care when they open their door and bang yours? Just wondering why dip instead of changing the paint color, or is it just the 'look' you prefer?

first reason would be its a rubber coating that protects the paint lying under it, i have saved my wheels a few times from scratches already.
second reason the colors and finishes are fantastic, you can even get color shifting ones.
third reason its significantly cheaper then doing a full paint job.
i will be doing my whole car besides the trunk and wheels for 320 bucks.
