So bad news for me, today i drove it to work. Once parked i took a look at my car to see how the dip was holding.
it wasn't! the rubber gasket or whatever that runs along the side skirt of my sr is a problem area. the plastidip that as on top of that has started to lift and create an air bubble. There are also spots on the front grill that have started to peel by themselves and lastly some dip got pulled up when i opened my rear doors.

So it is safe to say i wasted about 400 bucks with plasti dip, pre dip spray, the spray gun and all the tape i had to use.
I will be peeling it all off today.

Can you just respray those specific areas instead of trashing the whole job?

How much of a pain is it to remove? How are you going about removing it?

Not to much of a pain as i put down alot of product. the more dip the easier it is to remove. To remove you go panel by panel, work back an edge and then pull the whole sheet off.

So i talked to a few people in the plasti dip community and they said the lifting on the rubber seal was caused by some water still being in the rubber, and next time use some compressed air to check. So the plan is to fix the micra i took off the worst panels and am going to try and fix the other ones. So I need some photo shop help. the roof hood and trunk had to all come off. I'm thinking of making those black to offset the purple. but i'm not sure if it will look good. so attached is the only picture i have off it all purple. Currently the door handles are silver as well and the lip kit is back to black.
