I found out the other day, that the Micra's sound insulation is pretty weak, I used the factory CD player, playing at volume 14. and i was able to hear the music clearly, outside, with doors/windows closed.

That's awesome! Great use of the trunk cover! I'd get one for that reason alone! I had my fun days with my son's sub woofer when I was younger 'some years' ago untill it was stolen, so possibly a smaller sub in the future! lol Enjoy!
My question is.. if you have your volume up, would your trunk cover shakes? given the cover isn't that heavy .
In my other car, you could see the back window 'expand' as if it were flexible, with the bass up. I thought it would loosen or even explode!
nope it dont shake i believe the weight of the speakers helps a lot but even tho putted my bass to a level near ridiculous and i could just hear my liscence plate shake

I have the touch screen Nissan connect thing in mine, it's taken me up until just recently to find how to turn the bass up haha. Little bit happier with it now but it's not amazing!
