    Smartphone holder

    Hi there,

I wonder if anyone here has a good idea for the best smartphone holder that fits best in the Nissan Micra 2015. I tried several products from Canadian Tire with no luck.

    Regards,

I tried a cheap one that just sticks into the vents .. Hate it.
I just leave it in the cup holder or the rectangular spot next to the hand brake or on the seat.
But if its plugged in i've found i can hang it from my lanyard aka super high tech g sensor system, hanging from my rear view mirror.

You can join the waitlist for the lanyard group buy, i mean extreme super ultra high tech G- force sensor here:

This is what I use for my iPhone 5c. It works ok. But it sticks to the windshield, which might not be what your looking for. I havent found any adhesive based mounts that will work for the micra. Apparently teflon is an ingredient in Micra plastic.

Tried Brodit yet? They sell ProClip and holders (you need both usually). I used Brodit on my Micra K12, and it worked perfectly.

Really the best mounts i have found for cellphones, gps units, action cams, etc are RAM Mounting Systems.
They have mounts for pretty much anything you can think of.
I use an X-mount in the Micra with a suction cup base.
I run a black USB cable under the plastic tunnel and under the dash, up the door seal and into the phone.
I'll grab a picture and post it here later..
Great spot for the GPS apps to run and easy to see when emails or txt come in...also easy to you Siri for options not built into the Mirca handsfree system.

After trying different solutions, I settled on this vent clip at Canadian Tire:

I really do hate sacrificing a vent, but it's easy enough to restore if I want.

It does surprisingly well, holding the phone solidly even over bumps hard enough to dent the oil pan. :/

In my opinion, there's not enough front visibility in the micra to obstruct it with a windshield holder. BTW, the vent position seems to be ideal in such a small place.

I agree; I also hid my dash cam behind the rear view mirror to keep forward visibility perfect. It also puts my phone close enough to my radio that, in the event that I need to touch something on the phone's screen (when stopped at a red light), it would look like I'm just adjusting something on my radio.
