    Front passenger head restraint

I usually travel on my own. Recently I had 2 different passengers, one very short and the other a bit taller than normal for a woman. Both found the passenger head restraint to be very uncomfortable.

I have turned it back to front, which is obviously wrong because it doesn't click when being pushed down (the grooves are on one side only). But don't know what else to do. Both persons complained that it felt like their heads were being pushed forward.

Because I seldom carry anyone in the back seat, I have removed the back seat head restraints for better visibility. They are thinner than the front seat ones. Think I could just switch them around?

    Ideas? Comments?

I removed my rear ones as well.
I noticed that as well, i compensate by leaning far enough back it doesnt bother me.
Im sure it bugged my taller then avg female passenger as well.
I think its for safety, to prevent whiplash, so it stops your head from going back too far.

Yup, they are there to stop whiplash injuries. I know there are some differences in seats from S to SV models, wonder if that includes a different headrest. I've had no complaints in my SV, but also being an upholsterer, I know everyone has a different idea of what's comfortable and not.

As ptbo said, they are there to prevent whiplash. By wife had the same issue but she tilted the seat back about 10' and hasnt had an issue since.

Just imagine the discomfort of wearing a neck brace and going to physiotherapy after getting rear-ended, and the Micra's head rests start to feel much more comfortable...
