My experience with Nissan is that they don't really care about this issue. I think we got Versa guts in our car, but to make it peppier, they slapped on smaller profile tires.

If there are any warranty issues up to 10,000km outside of warranty, they'd better address them or there will be hell to pay...not that I expect any because it is a Micra after all.

Thanks, I'll try that. It seems a little odd, because the sticker inside the driver's door specifies 33 psi for the 15" tires, and 37 would put them at 4 psi over manufacturer's spec.

I only did the one test. I should do some others using other methods as well.

Honestly, I don't understand why, in this day and age, we don't have the ability to calibrate our own speedometers. It should be as simple as having a setting in the on-board computer.

As for warranty mileage claims, definitely. My guess is that Nissan could divert those by establishing a "Grace" period that would account for those differences. That is assuming that a Micra would...

I did a test today, I compared my Micra's speedometer with that of my GPS. I was surprised to find it off by 5 KPH.
