I measure the same as you, a metra kit should solve the problem....unless you bought a chinese radio which no follow 2x din..!!!...and u have to hack up metra kit!!!!

What is the brand/part number of the deck trim...
What is the brand/part number of the deck trim install kit you used ?
what did you ground the deck to (was it easy to ground it? is there a stud/bolt easily accesible when you are installing?
