Now that I've been using the exhaust for about a month now it's starting to break in and get a little bit louder. That's good in my opinion, still not overly loud also.

Only time I got in trouble because of anything to do with a exhaust is when I only had headers on my golf and was driving around. Besides that no trouble

The version they sell is the street legal one but to get the ticket you have to be over a certain decibel. Most likely over it (I hope anyway), don't want to spend the money on a quiet muffler. But...

Anyone know if anyone experimented on doing cam shaft work to these motors?

Yes the car will be louder with just the muffler but even louder with full catback.

It will make a nice difference because it will have the resonator and the small pipe on it still. Without the resonator and bigger pipe, less sound will be trapped. And you will have better flow.

As far as I know it doesn't. Only voids it if you mess with the cats. But this system is from the cats back. At least that's what my dealer said. May be different for yours
