That's the exact same issue that I had.. Only my service guys let it go on for another 30 thousand kilometers before they would actually do something about it.
There ended up being a prematurely worn bearing that caused this high-pitched tea kettle type whistle while coasting, the tranny fluid was metallic black.
So, the old girl went in for a tranny swap, and I ended up falling in love with the 17 Sentra Turbo. I had so much fun with our beloved ten grand tin can, but now my heart belongs to that zippy...
I haven't even touched on the project since I posted this. I need a hub adapter at the very least, and I'm not sure how to bypass the airbag.
Well hello then, neighbour! Is your micra the grey one with all the black accents and the big white sticker on the back?
Hey Rupert, whereabouts are you on Van Isle? I work in Courtenay, but live in Campbell River. I pass by a few micras every morning.
I forget who it was, but someone had a little bracket made up that bolts on to the two bolts at the bottom, and has a hole for the sway bar link. it was in the original lowering thread on the forum.
So I've had this annoying mechanical whine that almost mimics a teapot whistle that occurs on deceleration while off the throttle. it's relative to the speed of the wheels, not to the gear or what...
Hey Duffy49, what did you end up paying for your trailer? I want to do some road tripping around BC soon, and it look like a great option.
Someone's from Sayward?! Who might that be?
sweet work bench
Did you happen to compare 0-60 times to see if it actually made a difference?
I dig the maple leaf, cool little add-on. Did the dealer do that for you?
out of curiosity, how do you plan on rolling the fenders? won't the plastic bumper covers impede on that plan?
I was just trying to see if anyone knew how the quality of ebay springs compared to something like tein or tanabe lowering springs.
Hey Vapor, how did you remove the antenna? I'm going to just remove mine entirely as I use bluetooth through my ipad for music.
Like myself and a few others have done, to get the best sound from the rear speakers I would suggest creating a speaker panel in place of the hatch cover. the rear speaker placement is sub-par as it...
I didn't say that I wanted a high quality ride, just that I want the front end an inch lower without making it ride like garbage. I expect the front end to be a little stiffer and potentially a...
There's no need for concern, I have a subwoofer that makes teeth rattle, and I can assure you that the stereo and fascia won't make a peep.
Well once you fill the car with a decent sound system, a subwoofer can give the car all sorts of interesting rattles. As far as just installing a stereo, it's just the one fascia panel around the...
I've installed upgrades speakers, relocated the rear speakers to a custom panel over the trunk, added a subwoofer, added a countersunk stereo so that an ipad mini slips into the fascia seamlessly.....
Honestly I can't rationalize spending that much money on my suspension quite yet, but I understand proper coilovers would be best. I just hate how the factory springs give the front larger fender gap...
So who has all installed aftermarket lowering springs? I was thinking of just using some fleabay springs. is it really that different from tein or other cheaper springs?
It's an entire pre-cut stick on trim kit.. for 188 bucks, it honestly is a pretty nice dress-up for the interior.
