Front bumper knockout

Does anyone know what the cutout on the front bumper passenger side is for?

Tow hook. Behind it is hardend foam. Cut that away and I believe there is a hole to mount an anchor ring to use as a tow hook.

I think there's actually no hole back there behind the foam. Pete had to do some fabrication to add the hook to his first Micra (RIP).
