Anyone have any kind of sound clip from the Micra cup/rawtek exhaust, I'd like to here it before purchasing it.
Yes i would love to hear it as well but I'm sure a 2" catback into a 2.25" muffler won't sound bad
I have the rawtek 2" catback on my car and there is a video of it on YouTube. Look up Nissan micra k13 rawtek.
I finally got around to installing this and thought I could share my method for doing so since it doesn't come with instructions like the K&N kits do.
Caution: Please be careful doing any modifications to your car. Please wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves. Do not where any loose clothing and tie long hair back or where a cap. Also, I recommend disconnecting the negative battery post to be sure no one tries to start your car while working on it and also prevent ECU damage from static shock or shorting the MAF wires.
Anyhow, here we go.
1. Make sure you have the following tools before you begin.
Attachment 5295
2. Starting out with the stock air box, unscrew the philips head (below the K&N Sticker on mine)
Attachment 5296
3. Loosen the Hose Clamps
Attachment 5297
4. This section should just come out easy, store it somewhere if you ever want to sell your car one day.
Attachment 5298
5. Unscrew the two philips heads to the left of air box. Cut the tie wrap holding the MAF harness (careful not to cut the MAF wires!!)
Attachment 5299
6. Unscrew the MAF with the smaller philips head (save the screws with your stock air box)
Attachment 5300
7. To make it easier to get at the throttle body hose clamp, remove the lid of the stock air box
Attachment 5301
8. Nissan tried to make this difficult by putting the throttle body hose clamp screw facing the other way. Just use a short flat head screw driver (don't drop it in your engine compartment or you'll have fun fishing that out)
Attachment 5302

(Continued from last post)
9. Pull out the top part of the air box
Attachment 5304
10. Pull out the bottom part of the air box carefully tug until the bottom plug attachment disconnects
Attachment 5305
11. Save this somewhere with the rest of the stock air box components
Attachment 5306
12. Completely remove the throttle body hose clamp
Attachment 5307
13. Gently ease the MIA Intake Pipe into the throttle body coupling with the hose clamp loosely around the pipe.
Attachment 5308
14. Fasten the hose clamp with the screw facing out (to be nice to the next person who works on this car).
Attachment 5309
15. Screw the pipe mounting bracket into place with the original air box philips screws
Attachment 5310
16. Plug in the MAF (that should be the right way)
Attachment 5311
17. Use the small allen key to tighten the MAF bolts. (from your left over Ikea junk)
Attachment 5312
18. Attach the rubber coupling and it should fit snug without a hose clamp
Attachment 5313
(continued)
(continued from part 2)
19. Spray your ITG Air Filter with some Foam Air Filter oil (get some from https://racinglinecanada.com/product...or-foam-filter)
This stuff is toxic so please do it outside and not around lakes or rivers you will kill the fish. It also stains clothes and killed my grass.
Attachment 5314
20. Attach the ITG Air Filter to the intake coupling and it should fit snug with no hose clamp.
Attachment 5315
That's it! You're done. Hit the highway for some high revving fun.
Now please drive responsibly though you should easily be able to surpass the 120 KM/H wall that's imposed by the stock air box. I blew past a BMW tonight and it was an amazing feeling to finally get some speed from this little car.
Remember: Plug the negative battery post back in (also will have to set the time again but no stupid dealer code is needed like Honda's do when you unplug them).
