Hi,
I'm really interested by this Injen intake. Any trouble with the installation? Do you feel a difference in power/torque?
Do you know if it voids the warranty?
Did you get it yet??Quote:
Waiting on pdi / cash payment
It feels a little less restrictive. So maybe? No dyno yet tho.
It says it doesnt effect the a/f ratio. So maybe warranty is okay, nissan hasnt seen it yet so, who knows.
Install was a snap. Took all of 15 minutes. Now it is made for the versa and the bracket doesnt line up with the bushing/mounting location suggested by injen. Ill show you guys what I did to fix this, when im finished. Also im going to fashion up a air scoop of some kind, with a U bend to stop water from coming in.
3500rpm + you really hear it roar .. Kinda vtechie but smoother.
Sounds great. We'd love to see how you got it to fit up.
I didn't realize how many updates you made to your garage entry. Wheels look good - rally style!
Where did you get that cool aftermarket armrest?
So it's lowered? I can't tell in the pic with the new wheels.Quote:

Nice looking Micra, what kind of muffler do you have and is the inlet 3.5" or is that the tip?😁
What price we talking  and I see in your list of mods you has a 3.5" muffler you still got it?
Garage updated:
Parts ordered !!
Camber adjustment bolts
Weighted shift knob m10x1.25
And a secret special project part. Cuz I am original.
For now I will continue building the hr16de and car as is.
And as funds become available collecting engine swap parts.
The first big ticket item is going to be the ecu.
I can use it now and then and sensors and gauges can always be reused.
Then the engine.
Trans / bell housing / clutch etc.
Some things that were concerning me before are actually falling in place.
Clutch - in our cars and the one I need should both use hydraulic set ups.
Throttle - the sr20vet actually uses dbw- drive by wire, or electronic throttle.
So there is a huge relief !!
I was starting to wonder it this going to be stupid complicated, a hassle , something I wish I never started ?!??
But the more research I do, the more I feel it was meant to be.
The aem infinity series standalone is quiet impressive.
It tunes in VE and uses MAP sensor and also dbw- drivebywire
I could get away with using the 506 but the micra uses 8 injectors and that is not supported
I think that might be the most difficult part of tuning the hr16de is that it has 8 injectors. I'm sure you could tune around then but that's not the right way.
So the 508 model has that capability and a few extra features.
My favorite things will be the vdm - vehicle dynamic module - it plots your movement. Accel decel g force etc.
great for data logging over lays
Anyways still lots to doooo
Since my current focus is suspension / handling I've been looking into tender springs/helper springs to compliment the rear air bag assist, which I've been wanting to do.
This should raise my total over all ( theoretical ) spring rate.
Front
Current 6kg/mm : 336lb/in
New: 8-8.5kg/mm : 448lb/in-476lb/in
Rear
Current: 4kg/mm : 224lb/in
New : ** 6-6.5kg : 336lb/in-364lb/in
Stock exhaust re installed, summer tires and spacers installed fender flared, need a few minor thing to finish brake install. And this happened.
Time for tune up spring maintenance.
I have to do the following;
Remove and replace OEM suspension (F&R) and sway bar link. ( Cusco forsale )
Replace OEM radio and upper vent covers.
Replace rad ( pin hole leak engine bay side ) ($150+fluid)
Maybe replace front pads? ($45)
Bleed the brakes and clutch lines alike bit. (Quart)
Maybe check compression. Probably cheap insurance to do so. And inspect plugs. ( if I can get the right damn socket )
Swap t/b housings ( code for tps has come on intermittently)
Of coarse I have to do this before I start a 8 week training course where I need my car to work spot on.
Micra back on road, basically stock plus catback. New winter tires. Continental winter contract si 195/55R16 on clearance $517 tax in plus $113 install. New battery (group85 - 650cca) $160
