LOL im completely baffled, went out to look at my car and obviously i can see where the hood release goes through the fiewall, but there is so much padding im ASSUMING it goes through the firewall...tracing back from the hood latch, once it gets to the fender basically it "dissapears" under near the battery, so there is a huge maybe 3 foot "unknown lenght". i really appreciate the pictures, but i cant see exactly where you mean....maybe someone else can interprete??
OMG i found it!....on the outside at least, its a bit hard to see with the wheel on, but if you put your hand up you can FEEL the cable and the gromet

514 awesome job...forgive me but.... what are the rectangular "boxes" with he red circles sort of semi attached to the inside of the doors ?????
you dont have a template drawing for those speaker adapters do you ? bolt circle?...been looking online for ages...should be standard nissan
how come it looks like you have 3 different adapters??...a bought one and a homemeade one and a homemade painted one ?
-
the rectangular box is the crossover for speaker and tweeter.
the nissan speaker is 1 1/4 height so i use the two layer of (mdf 5/8).
i use stock speaker for bottom piece (all 4 is the same) and i have bracket come with speaker to attach grill on it. I just use it to cut second mdf. (2) 6 1/2 front and rear is (2) 5 1/4.
i glue and screw it ... oh and i use dremel to cut my pieces. not the best clean cut ever but it made the job

aaah....didnt see the tweeters you mounted in the doors. makes sens now..
no problems putting the "box " in the doors in regards to space or door panel not fitting ?

No have place ..... :) my crossover are not small too (6 X 4 X 1)inch
only have to remove cap inside door panel. front is just clip and rear have 3 screws.
