You will find the manual is geared fairly low in top gear. But that's not necessarily a problem in hilly driving as it is for us flatlanders.
Car will be fine for Kamloops. It is geared for city driving youll get up summit dr or columbia quite easily in 3rd. If you follow speed limits on the highway it gets decent fuel milage. If you like...
On a 100% highway drive, the manual and automatic will be about the same. But as soon as you mix in sub/urban driving, the manual can pull better numbers.
